PERFORMERS
ANNA KAYE
Anna Kaye was born and raised in the state of Kansas of the USA. A natural performer, she has been entertaining audiences since the tender age of 8. An upbringing with a rigorous ballet training which spanned a 12 year period laid the foundation for the discipline, drive, and creative movement of contemporary circus. As a performer, Anna explores the subtleties of human behavior through movement. A visceral, enigmatic vulnerability crawls out of her gestures, leaving audiences curious for more. Anna was coached by Yury Bozyan of the National Circus School in Montreal, Canada full time training hand balancing from June 2017-December 2019. Previously she spent 6 years at the San Francisco circus school, 915 Cayuga under the tutelage of her teachers Leslie Tipton, Dominik Wyss and Xiaohong Weng. For Anna, life is best captured through the vocabulary of the body. She sees this as a gift. An athlete and a dancer, Anna molds together technical skill, creative dance, and her natural curiosity on the stage. She currently lives and teaches hand balancing and flexibility classes in the San Francisco Bay Area.

CHEETAH BISCOTTI
Cheetah Biscotti is known as the "cutest clown in town" and one of the resident performers for Hex in the City Burlesque. She is ridiculous and fabulous with a whole lot of jiggle. She prides herself on being outrageous and looking at you with her ginormous eyes! She brings the sass with a twist of humor that will have you confusing aroused - I promise you won't be disappointed.
JEFFERSON FREIRE
Jefferson Freire was born in in São Paulo, Brazil. Jefferson was raised by his mother and was fifteen when he began learning juggling techniques from a Brazilian street performer. At first, Jefferson learned just for fun, but he quickly caught the juggling bug, and began training incessantly. Rain or shine, at home or at school, Jefferson and his clubs were inseparable.
His mother was poor, and Jefferson decided he had to help the household by taking advantage of his newly acquired skills: he went on to juggling on street corners making a living by passing the hat. In doing so, he also took comfort in the belief that, one day, he would become a true professional juggler and a circus artist—and this dream kept him going.
Soon, he found engagements in small circuses and then in Circo Universo Casuo, one of Brazil’s most prestigious circus companies.
Jefferson came to the United States in 2017 to participate in the Juggling Convention of the World Juggling Federation (WJF), the world’s largest gathering of jugglers and then decided to settle in the United States and moved to San Francisco, California. He has since performed extensively on the West Coast. In 2020, he became a permanent company member at Circus Bella.

Embodied Divination: Charting the Soul's Course with Somatic Therapist, Aida Curtis
Bring a question. You will consult the I-Ching Book of Changes, an alchemical text developed by ancient Chinese chieftains, kings and philosophers. Through the Hexagrams yielded, you will be invited into an embodied inquiry, and given tools for painting and documenting the imagery that emerges inside. You will leave with a map forward, generated from a consultation with the ancients, their knowledge of elemental relationships, and your own embodied-soul.
